The 2 flute tool with TAC coating for acrylic glass (cast, not extruded material) produces an excellent surface at high feed rates, contours can be run at approx. 6 – 10 meters/minute feed rate, depending on the material, and the result is a clean and very smooth surface of high quality, which is otherwise only achieved with single tooth cutters at feed rates of up to a maximum of 2-3 meters/minute and a speed of 20,000 rpm. The coating not only extends the service life but also allows the chips to flow off better over a much longer period and prevents sticking on the cutting edge.
